Haven Mother’s House and Haven Mother’s House II Mission Statement
The Haven Mother’s House Mission is to provide a safe and empowering Therapeutic Community for pregnant women and their infant children where women can recover from addictions and co-occurring illnesses; deliver healthy, drug-free infants; and become self-sufficient, confident, and productive members of the community.
Haven Mother’s House and Haven Mother’s House II Vision Statement
The Haven Mothers House Vision is to change and influence social policy and societal attitudes towards the treatment of addiction by eliminating the long term incarceration of pregnant women who suffer from substance abuse disorders. The Haven Mother’s House strives to interrupt the intergenerational pattern of substance abuse; positively impact the mother and her children’s quality of life; and end the social consequences and costs of addiction.
Services Offered:
The program offers a holistic, culturally sensitive, and integrated approach to substance abuse treatment including the following services: assessment; individualized treatment planning; parenting education and skill building; mother’s therapy group; on-site childcare; infant developmental evaluations and treatment services; interactive infant play; on-site psychiatric services; medication monitoring; methadone monitoring; antabuse/naltrexone monitoring; HIV/Hepatitis C testing; urinalysis/breathalyzer testing; multi-family group and couples counseling; on-site basic medical services; referrals for free dental care; cognitive behavioral therapy; on-site vocational and educational services; on site GED classes; recreation in recovery program; family planning; case management; supervised children’s visitation; coping skills group; individual group, and family therapy, Doula services for pregnant and post-partum women and their infants; day treatment; transitional housing; and aftercare services.
